Subject: League Reaction to Yavapai Election Officials Resignations
From: LWVNAZ

Dear Members,

As you may have read in recent news articles, two election officials in Yavapai County have recently resigned in response to hostility and threats.  This is a very troubling event.

The League of Women Voters of Central Yavapai County and the League of Women Voters of Northern Arizona submitted the attached letter to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors on July 4. (click link to read the letter)

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors have an executive session scheduled for 8:30 am on Wednesday, July 6 to discuss appointments for Lynn Constabile, Director of Elections and Leslie Hoffman, Recorder.  That meeting will be followed by a public meeting at 9:00 am on Wednesday, July 6.  LWVCYC is encouraging their members to attend to lend support to these dedicated election officials.

Location of meeting is

Board of Supervisors' Hearing Room, First Floor
Yavapai County Administrative Services Building
1015 Fair Street, Prescott, Arizona

If you would like to view the meeting remotely, it may be watched live at https://yavapaiaz.gov/meetings/video-list

Leslie Hoffman is scheduled to give a presentation on Elections and Voter Registration at the 9:00 am meeting.

Thank you as you support our efforts to empower voters and defend democracy.
